Weekly Stitching and Haul

Happy Tuesday Ya'll! This sun is shining bright here today and should be in the upper 70's. I am so excited the weather is getting nice and will be decorating my porch in flowers soon.

Since I finished two projects recently, I thought I should reward myself with a new start. I saw this hanging in an LNS about 20 years ago and knew I had to stitch it and I should not have waited so long. This is Angel of Love by Lavender and Lace.

I joined a round robin group on facebook and my mini introductory round is finished so I was able to join a large round for May. I actually joined two but only have one project to show you this week. The first one is a Band Sampler and I wanted mine to start off with an alphabet. I may add some vines and flowers around the alphabet, but I haven't yet decided just what I want to use. I am very excited about this as I am a big fan of band samplers and I can't wait to see what everyone adds to my piece.

I also joined one that is a Lizzie Kate theme and I have chosen Dog Rules for People. I will be able to show my start on it next week.

I got my first RAK this past week from a friend of mine. Gothic Cross by Heaven and Earth Designs. I did purchase the thread over the weekend and I already had fabric that would work, I plan to start this soon.

I don't have alot this week but hope you enjoy this post!

Weekly Stitching

Good Morning! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter. Although we had rain last night, the weekend had nice weather and some great food at my grandmothers.

I am very excited to be able to show a finish this week. I started this piece at the very first retreat I went to. It was held in Nashville about two and a half years ago.

This is Old Glory by Rosewood Manor and it is stitched on 14 count aida called Brown Sugar by Under the Sea Fabrics.

I also joined a round robin group on facebook and you have to participate in a mini round robin before you can join a larger one. I am working on the mini right now so I can start a large, regular one in May. This is one of the pieces that I stitched on this past week. I did the top row.

I am not sure what I will stitch on next. I am thinking that I will have a new start with Angel of Love by Lavender and Lace and then pick up another wip-just not sure which one yet.

I hope you have a great stitchy week!

New Adventure

My blog is for the most part about stitching but I will occasionally stray from that topic to have a little discussion or something I want to share with my Porch visitors and today is one of those days.

I have embarked on a new adventure and I wanted to let everyone know since I am very excited about it. I have become a consultant with Jamberry! I have used the products for quite a while and thought about becoming a consultant but just had not taken the plunge until now. I wanted to share my website to show the products that are offered. We have everything from nail wraps, gel kits, and nail polish to cuticule pushers, cuticle oil, and nail buffers. Oh and a monthly nail box subscription! I would appreciate a look and if anyone would like to do an online party to help me get started-I would be greatly appreciative. In fact, if you host an online party with me in the month of April or May, I will give you a free nail wrap. Feel free to email me or comment on this post if you are interested.

Haul

I had ordered these two patterns about a month ago and one of them was on backorder and they came yesterday. I can't wait to start them both.

Weekly Stitching and Goodies

Welcome to April! The weather here was fantastic over the weekend and I am so ready to plant flowers and decorate up my porch for the spring/summer season.

I am so excited as I stayed up a little too late last night but I have a finish! 272 Words by Primrose Needleworks. I started this piece on October 30, 2016.

I have a second finish this week as well. I did this square as a gift for a friend.

I have to say that my stitch friends are just the best. I got a goodie bag from one of my friends and isn't it fabulous??

My friend had already given me ABC on this set, so she just added to it.

I subscribe to Under the Sea Fabrics Fabric of the Month and she has a wish list option and that is the one I do. I just tell her each month which color I would like. This month I received Georgia Peach and I am considering stitching Villa Mirabilia on it. If you are looking to do a fabric of the month, definitely check out Leslie's site.
