Weekly Stitching

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did a lot of stitches this weekend.

I worked on Henry VIII-HAED
I have skipped around a little bit as I need to get a few threads. It is starting to get confetti heavy but I can't wait to be able to see the picture come to life.

I am doing a Man of the Month SAL-Amy Bruecken
This is so cute! I saw it finished at a retreat I went to last year and just got it this past Thursday and had to start it right away. I am determined to stay caught up on so that it will be finished in December.

I signed up for Stitch from Stash this year and I have a budget of $25 a month. This month I spend 32.55 but I had 7.00 credit for a finish on Dog Rules for People so that makes me only in the hole for 55 cents for January! I am pretty proud as I was afraid it would be much worse.

We are getting snow flurries today and I have heard the Big One will be here by the weekend. Do you have snow where you are?

Weekly Stitching, Haul, and Cross Stitch Crushes

Good Morning!!! I hope you all had a great week full of stitching. I feel like I got quite a bit accomplished.

Mary-Nativity Series by Mill Hill

Joseph-Nativity Series by Mill Hill
I have joined an event on Stitch Maynia where you start a new project on the 18th of each month. This was my start for January 18 and it is just barely a start.

London-Thea Gouveneur
The picture makes the phone book look orange but it is more red in person.

Henry VIII-Heaven and Earth Designs
I am participating in an event called Stitchathon on the facebook group Cross Stitch Finish Line. Two weekends a month are designated as Stitchathons and you post a picture on Friday of your starting point, stitch as much as you can, and then post a picture of what you accomplished on Monday morning. Every 500 stitches gets you an entry into a drawing to win a gift card at the end of the year. I was able to get 1000 stitches done on Henry. It was pretty easy to get that many done as it was mostly just two colors. However, I am getting to a point of lots of confetti.

Love Never Fails-Barbara Ana
I picked up a couple of threads that I needed for this on Saturday and stitched the heart portion around the words. I had to rip out some and restitch and there is a small amount on the right side that isn't correct that I need to rip out as well. I didn't have good luck with this one over the weekend.

I went to Hobby Lobby on Saturday to get thread and saw this kit. I have had this pattern on my wish list and with their weekly 40% off coupon, it was only 19 for the whole kit so I couldn't pass it up.

12 Days of Christmas-Joan Elliott

Ok..so you are probably wondering what the heck is a Cross Stitch Crush. I am talking about other stitchers or flosstubers that you just love the projects they work on. For me, it is Nicole of Nicole's Needleworks. I LOVE everything she works on and I feel like I need it all. Also, Stephanie of MsOhSewCrafty. You can click on their names to check out their blogs and they both are flosstubers with the same name. If you haven't watched them or read their blogs, you should go check them out.
Who is your cross stitch crush?

Weekly Stitching

Good Monday morning! I hope you are staying warm. It is cold here and we have a small amount of snow on the ground from Friday. We are supposed to get around 3 inches tonight and tomorrow and I really like snow, but I hope we don't get it so I am able to get to work. I told my husband yesterday that I am now ready to move to Florida!!

I purchased this stamped wall quilt from Herrschners for only $6 and I wish I had gotten a couple of more to do for gifts. It was a fun and quick stitch. I still have to quilt it.

Dog Rules for People-Lizzie Kate
This piece was a round robin that I participated in last year but I didn't finish it until the end of December. I stitched the top row, bottom row, and half the middle row.

Advent Animal 4-Brookes Books I finished this the end of December as well.

The Kings of Queens of England-Bothy Threads

Mary-Nativity Trilogy by Mill Hill I started this last week.

Alphabet-Prairie Schooler I started this on January 1. I am doing the entire alphabet all on one large piece of fabric. It is my goal to do at least one letter each month.

Love Never Fails-Barbara Ana I started this in January 2018.

London-Thea Gouveneur I started this on this past Saturday.

I would love to hear what you started for the new year.

I Am Back

Hello everyone!!!

I want to first apologize for my long absence. I had knee replacement surgery on October 31 and then had to have another small procedure on the same knee about six weeks after, so it has been a long couple of months in recovering, physical therapy, and just getting back to myself. I have missed you all terribly and didn't aim to be gone from the blog while I was recuperating but life just happened and I just didn't get many things done that I planned to do during this time.

I hope that you all had great holidays and are all ready for 2018 to be fabulous. I am sure you have gotten so much stitching done! I did do some, not as much as I had planned but I did get a couple of things finished and maybe more than a couple of things started. Today is my first day back at work so I am in the process of getting acclimated to real life again but I will have the finishes and starts posted really soon-hopefully this weekend. And then we can all get back to our normal fun of stitching and sharing!
