Weekly Stitching, Haul, and Cross Stitch Crushes

Good Morning!!! I hope you all had a great week full of stitching. I feel like I got quite a bit accomplished.

Mary-Nativity Series by Mill Hill

Joseph-Nativity Series by Mill Hill
I have joined an event on Stitch Maynia where you start a new project on the 18th of each month. This was my start for January 18 and it is just barely a start.

London-Thea Gouveneur
The picture makes the phone book look orange but it is more red in person.

Henry VIII-Heaven and Earth Designs
I am participating in an event called Stitchathon on the facebook group Cross Stitch Finish Line. Two weekends a month are designated as Stitchathons and you post a picture on Friday of your starting point, stitch as much as you can, and then post a picture of what you accomplished on Monday morning. Every 500 stitches gets you an entry into a drawing to win a gift card at the end of the year. I was able to get 1000 stitches done on Henry. It was pretty easy to get that many done as it was mostly just two colors. However, I am getting to a point of lots of confetti.

Love Never Fails-Barbara Ana
I picked up a couple of threads that I needed for this on Saturday and stitched the heart portion around the words. I had to rip out some and restitch and there is a small amount on the right side that isn't correct that I need to rip out as well. I didn't have good luck with this one over the weekend.

I went to Hobby Lobby on Saturday to get thread and saw this kit. I have had this pattern on my wish list and with their weekly 40% off coupon, it was only 19 for the whole kit so I couldn't pass it up.

12 Days of Christmas-Joan Elliott

Ok..so you are probably wondering what the heck is a Cross Stitch Crush. I am talking about other stitchers or flosstubers that you just love the projects they work on. For me, it is Nicole of Nicole's Needleworks. I LOVE everything she works on and I feel like I need it all. Also, Stephanie of MsOhSewCrafty. You can click on their names to check out their blogs and they both are flosstubers with the same name. If you haven't watched them or read their blogs, you should go check them out.
Who is your cross stitch crush?

Weekly Stitching

Good Monday morning! I hope you are staying warm. It is cold here and we have a small amount of snow on the ground from Friday. We are supposed to get around 3 inches tonight and tomorrow and I really like snow, but I hope we don't get it so I am able to get to work. I told my husband yesterday that I am now ready to move to Florida!!

I purchased this stamped wall quilt from Herrschners for only $6 and I wish I had gotten a couple of more to do for gifts. It was a fun and quick stitch. I still have to quilt it.

Dog Rules for People-Lizzie Kate
This piece was a round robin that I participated in last year but I didn't finish it until the end of December. I stitched the top row, bottom row, and half the middle row.

Advent Animal 4-Brookes Books I finished this the end of December as well.

The Kings of Queens of England-Bothy Threads

Mary-Nativity Trilogy by Mill Hill I started this last week.

Alphabet-Prairie Schooler I started this on January 1. I am doing the entire alphabet all on one large piece of fabric. It is my goal to do at least one letter each month.

Love Never Fails-Barbara Ana I started this in January 2018.

London-Thea Gouveneur I started this on this past Saturday.

I would love to hear what you started for the new year.

For Sale-SOLD

I have the London kit by Thea Gouveneur with white linen for sale. I have decided that I want to do her city kits on black fabric instead of the white. I know I could have just changed the fabric but I was able to get the kit with black fabric at a great deal so I purchased it. I did open the package to look at the contents but everything needed is included. I am asking $100 and I will give free shipping if shipped in the US. Paypal only.
If you are interested, please email me.

Weekly Stitching

Happy Thanksgiving Week! I love Thanksgiving and very excited that it is here and I only have to work three days this week. I hope you all have a fantastic day filled with food, family, and stitching.

I worked on London this week. The first picture is where I was when I started on it this week and the second picture is where I stopped. The area of the clouds is blank right now and I am stitching around it as I realized I didn't have the thread I needed for that part.

I have a new start! Surprise, right? I often have new starts. This is European landmark buildings. I love the colors. I kept checking several times to make sure I was using the correct color as it didn't seem like I was a few times. However, I came to realize that is the pattern and it is all so colorful and meant to be that way. There is a ton of confetti so it will be slow going but I think it will be great once it's finished.

Weekly Stitching

I started London this past week and it is on another post but I am putting here so you can see all of the weekly stitching.

I started another project on Saturday, October 29. It is a SAL that I am participating in on the facebook group called Patriotic Stitches. I started it and got quite a bit done, only to realize that I was two rows off. So I had to frog quite a bit.

I had this much done and had to frog out the red star on the left side and the bottom three rows of text.

I decided to go straight across in hopes of keeping myself on track and not having to fix it again.

This is the finished piece.

Weekly Stitching

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I started this project last Wednesday and was a quick, fun stitch. I finished the stitching last night and will still need to do the final finishing of making it into an ornament. But I loved stitching on it and can't wait to hang on my tree this year.

Sampler Ornament by The Posy Collection

I went to Etsy on Friday to the Born To Cross shop as I was planning on purchasing a pdf pattern of Manhattan. However, as I looked around at all the cross stitch patterns the seller had, I saw one that was London. Now, I have to tell you all that I am crazy about England, especially London. So, I had to purchase London and put Manhattan back on the wish list for next time. I am attracted to large projects and this one is, well, quite large and I have no clue when I will ever get it finished. But I started it yesterday.

This is my start.

This is what it will look like when finished.

I hope you all have a great stitchy week and I would love to hear about what you are working on.
