Weekly Stitching and Goodies

Welcome to April! The weather here was fantastic over the weekend and I am so ready to plant flowers and decorate up my porch for the spring/summer season.

I am so excited as I stayed up a little too late last night but I have a finish! 272 Words by Primrose Needleworks. I started this piece on October 30, 2016.

I have a second finish this week as well. I did this square as a gift for a friend.

I have to say that my stitch friends are just the best. I got a goodie bag from one of my friends and isn't it fabulous??

My friend had already given me ABC on this set, so she just added to it.

I subscribe to Under the Sea Fabrics Fabric of the Month and she has a wish list option and that is the one I do. I just tell her each month which color I would like. This month I received Georgia Peach and I am considering stitching Villa Mirabilia on it. If you are looking to do a fabric of the month, definitely check out Leslie's site.

Weekly Stitching

Welcome to March! I hope the weather is nice where you are. It has been rainy but much warmer here in KY over the past few days. It was wonderful to have the windows open yesterday and let the fresh air in.

I have only worked on 272 Words this past week. Here is where I was at when I started this week.

This is where I stopped last night. It is my goal to finish this by the end of March. I am on the last three lines of wording and I only have left the info about the Gettysburg Address at the bottom and the border around the entire piece.

I also had a big surprise this week. My Millenium Frame arrived!! I ordered it on September 16, 2016 and it finally made its way to me. I am very excited about getting it but very disappointed in the quality of their customer service as I had to email and call several times and had been told it was shipped two months ago, even though it was only shipped a week ago. So, I am hoping it will be worth the wait and hassle of trying to get it. Do any of you have one? What do you think of it?

Weekly Stitching

Good Morning everyone! I am glad to be back today and all the moving is almost done. We had planned on getting the remaining items moved over the weekend but my husband was a bit under the weather so it will wait until next Saturday. However, I was able to get quite a bit of stitching in over the weekend and I am so glad. It was nice to relax and watch netflix and flosstube while stitching for many hours. So, I will get started here showing what I worked on.

I had started the 4th ornament in the Brooke's Books Advent Animals and I am almost finished. I only need to stitch the border.

This is a picture of 272 Words the last time I posted a pic of it.

This picture shows the progress I made this past weekend.

I also worked on the Giant Harry Potter by CloudsFactory. The first picture shows the small start I had posted the last time.

This picture shows my progress. I do have to frog out the last blue motif on the right side. I was frustrated so just put it away yesterday and will rip out the next time I pick it up.

I do have a small amount of haul but failed to take pictures so I will get that up later this week. A stitcher had posted on one of the facebook stitch groups a couple of weeks ago about having found magnetic boards at Target for $3. After work that day, I ran to our local Target but they did not have them. My mom was able to find them at hers, so I had her to get me two of them. I added some of my needleminders to one of them over the weekend. I should be able to fill up both of them by the time I unpack all of my minders. I had been looking around for awhile and was so excited to learn about these. I think I might wish I had purchased a couple more.

What have you been stitching on? And how do you display your needleminders? I hope you all have a great stitchy week.

Weekly Stitching

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday and that you are all ready for a great new year. Did you start something new on the 1st? I would love to hear what you worked on.

The last time I showed you 272 Words, it looked like this.

I was able to get quite a bit done on this over the past week.

I started a new project on January 1. Save the Stitches by Blackwork Journey. The pattern is a freebie and I have had the fabric and thread for quite awhile but I was a bit intimidated on starting it. I have never done blackwork before and some of the designs are quite intricate, however, I am really enjoying this piece. I changed the thread color and I am using Blackberry by Weeks Dye Works. The pattern does call for some metallic colors but I am not sure I will use any of them.

On January 2, I decided to pull out a wip to work on as I am going to try very hard this year to get many wips finished. I had the wording already stitched-I started this piece in August 2016. I stitched the flags yesterday. This one is called Patriotic Quilt by Rosewood Manor.

I hope you all have a great stitchy week!

Weekly Stitching and Haul

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I sure did, lots of time spent with family and eating good food. So, I have to know-what did you get?? Please comment below.
I only received one stitch gift, my mom said I put my request in too late, as she already had my gifts purchased. So, I am already planning to let her know much earlier next year!

I received the Autumn Sampler kit by Janlynn.

The last time I posted 272 Words, this is where I left off.

I was able to work on this piece quite a bit over the weekend and this is where it is now.

I started a new project yesterday. A friend gave me this in one of our exchanges and the colors are just beautiful. The linen is so soft and was just a joy to work on yesterday.

I am gearing up for new starts on January 1. I know that I will start the first Brookes Books Advent Animal ornament and possibly the Henry VIII kit, but I may change my mind before then. I can't wait to hear what you are starting.

Weekly Stitching

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all getting ready for Christmas and cooler weather. It has gotten quite cold here the past few days and I can't believe it is almost Christmas! I am way behind on gift buying this year and I haven't decorated at all. I didn't stitch much this past week so there isn't much to show. It was a rough week at work and when I got home each night, I relaxed and watched a bunch of videos on flosstube.

272 Words at the point I started this week.

272 Words at the point I stopped at last night.

I hope you all have a great stitchy week!

Weekly Stitching and Haul

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend. I sure did! I feel like all I did was eat!

I was able to get in some stitching around the time I was eating though.

272 Words-The first picture is where I started from.

And this is where I got to. I just love this piece and it is stitching up pretty quickly.

I worked on America the Beautiful by Sue Hillis for the first time in quite a while. I haven't shared this one since I first started my blog. I was able to complete Iowa, Wisconsin and start on Illinois. This piece is also one I have included in my Year of Wips project in hopes that I will finish by the end of 2017.

I started this stocking in March at a retreat and needed to have stitched it over 2, but I had started it over 1. So I ripped out the small amount that I had finished and restarted. It is my goal to do all of the Shepherds Bush stockings and I am loving this one. I think it is going to be my goal to have one of these going at all times until I can finish them all.

It will look like this when completed.

I am combining the haul with this stitching update as I don't have much. I took advantage of the Joanns 4 for $1 sale on thread. I was able to get thread to kit up three Mirabilia's and the thread needed for the Brooke's Books Advent Animal ornaments.

Weekly Stitching

Good Morning! I think it is going to be a beautiful day today, although a bit cool. We had to turn our heat on yesterday for the first time and I just hate that. I like the cooler weather but I am not ready for winter. I try to keep a positive attitude though and think about all the stitching I can get done when it isn't so nice out.

I worked quite a bit on 272 Words by Primrose Needleworks over the weekend. The first picture is the picture I posted of where I was last Monday.

This is where I stopped last night.

I signed up for a couple of Christmas ornament exchanges this year and I stitched a small ornament over the weekend. It isn't completely done as I am going to get some type of embellishment to attach to the top of the tree and possibly something to attach to Santa's hat.

I think I will work on another project this week but I haven't yet decided on which one, it will be something in my Year of Wips challenge. I would love to hear what you are working on.

Weekly Stitching

Happy Monday to you all! I hope you are enjoying some nice fall weather. The weather has been gorgeous here the last few days.

I started a new SAL project with a group of stitchers on November 1. As you can see, it is a very small start.

Here is a picture of the completed project.

272 Words by Primrose Needleworks

As I had posted last week, I had to rip out a good portion on this one and restitch, so I have decided to go row by row in hopes that I don't get so far off again.

This picture shows where I was before I stitched on it this past week.

This is where I am now.

I also started and finished this Pine Mountain kit that my friend Denita sent me for my birthday. It was a quick and fun stitch. I still need to iron and place in the pillow to where it is straight.
