Weekly Stitching and Haul

Happy Tuesday Ya'll! This sun is shining bright here today and should be in the upper 70's. I am so excited the weather is getting nice and will be decorating my porch in flowers soon.

Since I finished two projects recently, I thought I should reward myself with a new start. I saw this hanging in an LNS about 20 years ago and knew I had to stitch it and I should not have waited so long. This is Angel of Love by Lavender and Lace.

I joined a round robin group on facebook and my mini introductory round is finished so I was able to join a large round for May. I actually joined two but only have one project to show you this week. The first one is a Band Sampler and I wanted mine to start off with an alphabet. I may add some vines and flowers around the alphabet, but I haven't yet decided just what I want to use. I am very excited about this as I am a big fan of band samplers and I can't wait to see what everyone adds to my piece.

I also joined one that is a Lizzie Kate theme and I have chosen Dog Rules for People. I will be able to show my start on it next week.

I got my first RAK this past week from a friend of mine. Gothic Cross by Heaven and Earth Designs. I did purchase the thread over the weekend and I already had fabric that would work, I plan to start this soon.

I don't have alot this week but hope you enjoy this post!

  1. Your start on Angel of Love is lovely. I like the alphabet you used for your band sampler. Who is the designer for it? Enjoy working on the round robins! What a lovely RAK you received, Laura. I hope you have a wonderful week.

    1. Thanks Robin! I got the alphabet from a Teresa Wentzler design-I think it was on English Garden.

  2. Nice new start. L&L seem to have had a resurgence in popularity this year, I've never seen so many being stitched. It's great as I love the designs.
Enjoy your RR, I did three band samplers rounds and loved them. My very first one was a TW.
