I haven't posted that often lately so this week you are getting two installments. I had another finish so I just couldn't wait to show it. I started this project as part of Maynia and it is all finished!

Weekly Stitching
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend and was able to get in lots of stitches.
I participated in Maynia and started 18 projects in 18 days. It was a lot of fun and will definitely participate again. I will post all my starts here but for today, I just wanted to show one of my starts that I have finished already.

Stitch Maynia
Hello everyone! It has been a month since I have posted and I am not sure where the time went. I haven't been stitching much at all and so ready for my stitch bug to kick into high gear with Maynia.
I did work on a Mill Hill kit-Joseph-over the weekend.
I am very excited as this is the first year I have done Maynia where I will start the 18 starts in 18 days. I wanted to share with you the projects that I am starting. They aren't in the order I will start, I didn't pick certain days for a particular project, I will just grab one out of the bag each day to work on.
I can't decide which fabric for Darth Vader. What do you think?
Are any of you participating in Maynia? I would love to know what you are going to be starting.

Weekly Stitching, Haul and Retreat
Happy Monday! I hope you are all getting ready to celebrate Easter and hunt those eggs.
Early Americans-Little House Needleworks
Laura Plantation-Leslie Wristers
I haven't worked on this in a good while and picked it up this week. When I picked it back up I had only stitched a small amount of the tree going across so I got quite a bit done on this one.
My friend Nessie hosts a retreat at Lake Cumberland, here in KY, each year and this was my third year going. I had to use most of my time off for my surgery so I couldn't take off work on Thursday and Friday but it is fairly close to me so I went on Saturday. It was great fun seeing stitchers that I haven't seen since last year, meeting new ones that came for the first time, good food, much laughter and a bit of shopping and stitching.
Queen's Palace: Sarah Fealton, 1840-Victorian Rose Needlearts
Let Your Heart Be Light-Shakespeare's Peddler This project is a limited edition, exclusive pattern that was done just for Katrina Boyd to sell at retreats she is a part of. Click on her name and check out the retreats she has, so you can hopefully attend. They are great fun!
One of the stitchers brought a box of kits to giveaway and I got two.
I wouldn't typically stitch this but my husband loves to fish so it will be for him

Weekly Stitching and Haul
Good Morning! It looks like rain here today and according to the weather, rain is in our forecast for the next two weeks. But that means spring!
Early Americans-Little House Needleworks
I didn't stitch on this as much as I had hoped to because I started a new project.
I had been looking for the Queene Besse Chess Board by Leon Conrad and did not find it, so I purchased another one that I really liked. I love blackwork and this project was so much fun to stitch on.
ChessBoard-Blackwork Journey
I am stitching this on Galen 28 count linen by Under the Sea Fabrics. It was the February Fabric of the Month. I am using DMC Perle #12 in 310 for the stitched border and regular DMC 310 for the blackwork inside each square. It also called for a metallic of some kind to be added in some blocks and I have purchased a rust colored petite treasure braid to use.
It will look like this when finished.
Haul
I am so excited that I was able to find Medieval Majesty by Leon Conrad. I paid more for it than I normally would a pattern, but it is a very nice 50 page book with very detailed instructions for each section. I can't wait to get started on this but will be a little bit as I decide on fabric.
I hope you all have a great week filled with lots of stitches!

Weekly Stitching and Haul
I didn't stitch as much as usual this past week but I am still working on the Early Americans series. I am hoping I stay with this until I am finished. I should finish the Abigail Adams square tonight.
I saw a post on facebook from a stitcher that had closed her stitch shop and was going to be traveling with items for sale through my area so she came by our monthly stitch group meeting this past Saturday. Here is what I got.
I also got a few cards of a rust colored petite treasure braid but failed to take a pic.
I also received my February Fabric of the Month from Under the Sea Fabrics.
Sun Goddess and beads-Mirabilia
Barnyard Christmas-Prairie Schooler
Christmas Village-Prairie Schooler
Tidings of Great Joy-La D Da
I also got my February and March patterns for the Man of the Month SAL but failed to take a pic of those too.
And perhaps the joy of the week is that I was able to find this blackwork design that I wanted.
Medieval Majesty-Leon Conrad It is being mailed to me today!
What I am listening to: Revival by Eminem
What I am reading: By Gaslight by Steven Price and Foundations by Peter Ackroyd

Flosstube Stars
I am slightly addicted..well maybe more than slightly...to flosstube. I just started watching two new ones and they are sisters. They work on great projects and are very entertaining, so I wanted to share their first videos with you all in case you haven't seen them yet. I always have to start with the first video of any new flosstuber I watch to make sure I don't miss anything. Do you do that?

Weekly Stitching and Haul
I only have one project to show today. I have been working on two this past week but I can't show one of them as I have a friend that reads my blog and I have purchased the same kit to send her and she hasn't received it yet. I should be able to show it soon.
Early American Series-Little House Needleworks
I have a little bit of haul this week as Everything Cross Stitch had all of their patriotic patterns on sale.
Liberty Lane-Country Cottage Needleworks
Stars and Stripes Forever-Bent Creek
Starburst Patriotic-Cherry Lane Designs
Stars and Stripes-Prairie Schooler
I thought I would start including a couple of new things with my weekly updated.
What I am listening to this week: Revival by Eminem I am a huge fan of Eminem and this cd is his best I think.

Let's Talk About WIPS
On Saturday I decided that I would go through my wip basket. I have a rather large one with wheels. I purchased this right before I had my knee replacement surgery so that it could sit by my chair and I wouldn't have to worry about trying to get up and gather things, it was all right beside me. I thought it was time to go through it and clean up and organize a bit. I did organize and take some things out as I just became so overwhelmed by how many projects I have started. Do you ever get that way?
I think that maybe I am ready for spring cleaning and I was just a big disgusted with just how many there are. Today I don't feel quite as overwhelmed and disgusted but still realize I have to do something and get these things finished. Oh and I should mention that this list of wips aren't all that I have. There are many more in totes that I need to go through. I plan to do that soon so I can get an accurate list of wips, kits, and patterns that I have.
I thought I would share the wips that were in my basket.
Basket of Cherries-Blackbird Designs
Needles and Pins-Theron Traditions
Kings and Queens of England-Bothy Threads
Mary-Mill Hill kit
No Place Like Home-Wizard of Oz pattern from a magazine
Americana Series-Little House Needleworks
Man of the Month-Amy Brueken
Stained Glass Elsa-SR Designs
London-Thea Gouveneur
Brooks Books Advent Animals Ornaments
Europe Landmark Buildings
Joseph-Mill Hill kit
Golden Ice-Kustom Krafts
New England School Girl Sampler-Theron Traditions
Florin-Ink Circles
Fire and Ice-Kustom Krafts
Let Freedom Ring-Lilas' Studio
Charles Stocking-Shepherds Bush
One Nation-Bygone Stitches
George Crossing the Delaware project
Laura Plantation-Leslie Wisters
Giant Harry Potter-Clouds Factory
Esther Copp Sampler-Bucilla
Henry VIII-Heaven and Earth Designs
Love Never Fails-Barbara Ana
Alphabet-Prairie Schooler
Save the Stitches-Blackwork Journey
I thought that I had about 40 wips but in looking at this list and thinking about others that I know of, I think the number is well over 40. I am thinking perhaps I need to try to work on one at a time and then have George Crossing the Delaware project going as well. I just get so excited about the kitting up process and the starting and then it is laid down and on to others and the whole process starts again. So, I am wondering how many wips do you have?

Nashville Market
I am sure all of you stitchers know about the Nashville Market that happens every March. A trade show for designers and shops and it is horrible they won't let the normal stitcher come in to shop! I have a good friend that has an online store and she does a retreat the weekend of market. The retreat is at a hotel down the street from where the market is being held and stitchers sit and talk, eat, stitch, and all that fun stuff. But Katrina goes to the market and shops and brings back items from market and you can see them and place your order and she will go back and purchase for you and you can have them the weekend of market, without having to wait. It is great fun and unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year. However, I will be giving her a list of what I want to purchase. I bring this up as I am wondering if you all have seen the preview of items yet?
You can see them here.
If you don't have a local LNS or not sure where to purchase, contact Katrina with a list and she will purchase, invoice, and ship out quickly. You can click on her name to go to her site and her email is listed there.

Weekly Stitching
Good Monday Morning! It is nice to finally see some sun and no rain here in Ky. We had a lot of rain the past week and storms over the weekend, tornadoes in some places. There is quite a bit of flooding as well. These pictures are from Louisville, which is about an hour from me.
I worked a little bit on the Early Americans series, the Martha Washington square but I forgot to take an updated picture. I also started on the George project but only about 200 stitches, so I will update with that next week when I have more done. Then, I had a start and a finish! I am a BAP girl but I really liked stitching something much smaller and getting a finish so quickly. I think I am going to finish it as a no sew cube but can't decide. Any suggestions?
February Cottage-Country Cottage Needleworks
I didn't have any haul this week but I did received an amazing project bag from my friend a few weeks ago and I have failed to show it. Isn't this great?!
