Happy Monday! I hope you are all getting ready to celebrate Easter and hunt those eggs.
Early Americans-Little House Needleworks

I haven't worked on this in a good while and picked it up this week. When I picked it back up I had only stitched a small amount of the tree going across so I got quite a bit done on this one.
My friend Nessie hosts a retreat at Lake Cumberland, here in KY, each year and this was my third year going. I had to use most of my time off for my surgery so I couldn't take off work on Thursday and Friday but it is fairly close to me so I went on Saturday. It was great fun seeing stitchers that I haven't seen since last year, meeting new ones that came for the first time, good food, much laughter and a bit of shopping and stitching.

Let Your Heart Be Light-Shakespeare's Peddler This project is a limited edition, exclusive pattern that was done just for Katrina Boyd to sell at retreats she is a part of. Click on her name and check out the retreats she has, so you can hopefully attend. They are great fun!
One of the stitchers brought a box of kits to giveaway and I got two.
I wouldn't typically stitch this but my husband loves to fish so it will be for him

Weekly Stitching
Happy Eclipse Day! I am in Kentucky and very close to the path where you get a great viewing, so hopefully I will be able to run out on my afternoon break and get a look. Are any of you planning on watching today?
I got alot of stitching in over the weekend and hope you did as well.
Henry VIII-Heaven and Earth Designs As soon as I finish the row I am on, I will have a half page finished.
Let Freedom Ring-Lila's Studio I have to rip out some stitches on the bottom large flower.
New England Schoolgirl Sampler-Theron Traditions I love this piece, the color of the fabric mixed with the colors of the threads makes this piece so pretty and I have a hard time putting it down.
Laura Plantation-Leslie Wristers I really like this piece as the picture on the pattern just doesn't bring it to life the way the stitches do. The mix of variegation on the tree just makes it look so real.

Weekly Stitching
I must say Monday morning came too quickly for me today. I am having some coffee as I write this in hopes that it will kick me into gear for the day. It is starting to rain a bit and just makes me want to stay in bed. I hope that everyone had a great weekend filled with lots of stitching.
I didn't work on Henry VIII-HAED at all this past week but I will get back to him this week with my allotted one hour a day. I have missed him and although the point I am at right now is all part of the background, I want to stitch away so I can get to the good stuff and start to see Henry appear.
Florin-Ink Circles
A friend kitted this up for me and gifted to me and the thread she chose was not what was called for but it is gorgeous. One of the threads is a variegated with blue, purples and white mixed. You will be able to see that one in the picture.
Let Freedom Ring-Lila's Studio
I had been waiting on the specialty thread on this project and it came in so I was able to make some good progress.

I had been waiting on the specialty thread for this project as well, and it came this week. I think this project will be so pretty when completed. The picture just does not show how nice it looks stitched.

I am in love with this project.
I only received the specialty threads this week for the two projects that I worked on. I do have a little bit of haul coming and will post that as soon as it is delivered.
I am still contemplating my rotation and how many wips I have and making it all work to get some finishes. So, this week, my question to you is, how many wips do you currently have?

Weekly Stitching
I hope everyone has had a great week and got lots of stitching done and hopefully some new stash. I stitched quite a bit this weekend and it was so nice to just have a lazy weekend where I could do that.
I stitched a small amount on Let Freedom Ring, the border section and some on the flower. I am waiting on some specialty thread before I can go any further on this one. It is by Lila's Studio and I am stitching this on 28 count Properly Primitive by Under the Sea Fabrics.
I love victorian and plantation houses and especially this one since it has my name on it. My friend Denita gave this pattern to me the last time we got together and I had to start it right away. The picture of the border just does not really show how pretty and intricate the stitching is. I am stitching this on a 28 count linen called Platinum.
My friend Cindi came to visit a few weekends ago when we went to the Louisville retreat and she brought me a gift. She completely kitted this pattern for me and I love the thread choices as she picked out ones that she thought I would like and not the ones it called for. This Florin by Ink Circles and I am stitching this on 32 count linen by R and R Reproductions.
I have really fallen in love with samplers lately and this is one that I just recently purchased. New England Schoolgirl Sampler by Theron Traditions and I am stitching it on 36 count Edinburgh linen called Dirty.
I am currently in a band sampler round robin and this was what I stitched on the piece I had for July.
I stitched on my Americana Sampler. I had made a mistake in the tree trunk and had to rip a good portion of it out. I restitched and started on the bottom part of the house and realized, I still had a mistake in the tree trunk so I will have to remove all that I stitched again and fix it. This is where I was before restitching.
I do have a few things on order that I should be able to show in the next posting but I wanted to share what a great deal I got on some storage containers.
These containers are meant for scrapbooking but they are perfect for holding a kitted project. A friend of mine had told me about the great deals for these on Walmart.com so I had to go look. I got 10 of these containers for 17!!! They are normally 2.68 a piece but they were on sale and if you ordered them online and picked them up at the store, you also got free shipping and an additional $5 off your order. I love them and will be a great way for me to get and stay organized. If you want to go and take a look be sure and search for Iris Slimline containers.
I hope you all have a great week!
